How SITSmas Is Like A Real Holiday

Since I only joined SITS (The Secret's in the Sauce) a few weeks ago, this was my first ever SITSmas. I was so excited. Some might even argue that I was more excited than was reasonable. I tried to prepared myself by watching A Charlie Brown Christmas, doing yoga and warning my husband that the computer was MINE all day. Stay away. MINE! MINE! MINE!

And then before I knew it, it was SITSmas morning. I ran to my computer and turned it on. I just had to see all the pretty SITSmas posts and, oh, the shiny hourly giveaways set up by Tiffany and Heather. So many vendors, so many blogs and then the comments started flying. Everything became a bit of a blur, and it quickly became obvious that I had made a terrible mistake. I should have never planned on homeschooling my kids on SITSmas. Those were precious hours away from my computer that I can never get back.

Now it's 11:28 pm on SITSmas day. I spent all day trying to ignore my responsibilities and relax while perusing other blogs only to find myself exhausted, covered in glitter and vaguely feeling like I might cry.

Yep, just like a real holiday.
