If You Predict It (Enough Times), It Will Come

I live in the Northeast. It's a snowy place. Except this year. The Carolinas, Georgia and even Texas have seen some of the white stuff, but we haven't had a major storm since December. The meteorologists have predicted snow. According to them we should be buried under roughly 4-40 inches of snow by now (way to narrow it down), but all the storms have shifted left or right or simply evaporated into thin air and we are left with nothing. Well not nothing.

We've waited patiently, preparing for the moment that would bring snow angels and forts and give us a reason to use those snow boots by the door.

We've even had drills. Who can get their snow pants on the fastest?

I'll give you a hint: it's not Anthony. That child still calls me to come and wipe his butt. Putting his own snow pants on? He's definitely too good for that.

The days are cold and windy and gray and with no snow to catch pneumonia from play with. We've been shut-up inside. Prisoners in our own home.

After a whole winter of lying meteorologists, who could blame us for rolling our eyes when they predicted that we would get a storm that would drop precisely 6-10 inches in our yards, thus making those new snow shovels a good investment after all.

Congratulations Mr. Meteorologist! After 6 attempts at predicting a snow storm you've finally done it! I see good things in your future. According to my sources you will have a very good day sometime within the next 6 to 10 months.

Snow is great for about 2 hrs. and if you are sitting in a warm house watching it out the window. Otherwise, it gets old fast.
We lived in the land of snow for 60 years and we are in AZ now. I haven't missed the snow much this winter. You never have to shovel sunshine...as they say in AZ.

I'm tempted to play in our melting snow because I don't have confidence that we will get our usual snow storms/snowfall this year. Yes, it is not much compared to what we usually have but if those Texans can build snowmen with what they got... doggoneit, I can too.

Outside my door, the ground has been covered with snow since the beginning of December. I CANNOT WAIT for it to melt. I am so over it.

Hey looky there, Boob Natzi is a fellow miserable Utahn! I'll have to check Miss Boob out.

Oh yeah, anyway, snow.

It sucks.

I'm sorry.

Weathermen, excuse me, meteorologists, are always wrong.

I wish we'd get more snow where I live. Not a lot, but enough to make the purchase of a snowsuit that MIGHT fit one year a worthwhile investment :op

4 - 40 inches? I am apparently missing my calling as a meteorologist. That's my kind of math.

The kids' schools were delayed yesterday due to snow fall. By the time I woke up there was hardly anything on the ground. I like sleeping in, but really!
